About Claunreasc

Claunreasc House is a seven bedroom, four bathroom home situated in the countryside in West Clare. Everything you need to comfortably enjoy life in rural Ireland is provided for your convenience and is detailed below.

Sleep

There are three bedrooms on the main floor. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and each have an en-suite bathroom. The third has two twin beds and is connected to the main bathroom. On the second floor there are two bedrooms with queen size beds, one bedroom with bunk beds, and one bedroom with a single bed. There is a pack and play available for young children. Some bedrooms have an armoire or closet, and all have a dresser, and night stand. An iron and ironing board is also available. All linens, comforters, pillows are provided.

Bathe

The main bathroom on the ground floor offers a bathtub and shower while the two ensuite bathrooms are equipped with showers. The bathroom on the second floor also has a shower. Water is heated by the immersion heater in the upstairs and ensuite bedrooms and the main bathroom via electric power shower. Towels are provided along with hair dryer, straightener and curling iron.

Eat

The open concept kitchen and island present a variety of options for cooking and entertaining. Claunreasc offers a full, modern kitchen with a hob, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. All appliances, utensils, dishes, glasses, and cutlery are there for your convenience. A Weber BBQ is also available for grilling on the outside deck.

Relax

The open concept living and dining room provide the perfect place to unwind by the fireplace, read, or curl up in front of the telly. Fully equipped with a television, DVD player, satellite, internet access, and a compact stereo with iPod docking station, you can remain as connected as you wish from the comfort of the West Clare countryside. The conservatory provides stunning views of Ireland just outside the windows and is a perfect place to get away from it all. The second floor living space is the playroom which also provides a glorious look down toward the Shannon and is the perfect place to retreat and enjoy some foosball, board games and cards.

Explore

West Clare is the home of traditional Irish music as the sounds of sessions spill from the pubs and into the streets in the local villages all year long. You can also check out the numerous local festivals for more information. Claunreasc House is also a short drive to such natural wonders as the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and Ailwee Caves. Bunratty Folk Park is also a popular local attraction not to be missed. Ancient castles such as the fortress at Carrigaholt makes exploring the history of the ancient land exciting.

Play

The location of Claunreasc is a golfers' paradise, perfectly situated between three of the most famous links courses in all of Ireland: Doonbeg, Lahinch, and Ballybunion. Surfing has become immensely popular on local beaches such as Doughmore and Lahinch and surf shops offer rental options as well lessons and surf camps for all ages at Lahinch. Horseback riding and lessons are minutes away at Daganelly Riding Centre or further up the road at the West Clare Equestrian Centre. Other popular local pastimes include angling in the ocean or rivers, cycling or walking the country roads and back trails, dolphin watching, and scuba diving.
